The Crown Solicitor's Office (CSO) exists to be the NSW Government's most trusted legal advisor. Our principal objective is to advise and represent agencies to support them in delivering the NSW Government's policies, programs and projects in a lawful, effective and efficient manner.

The CSO is a public service executive agency established under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013. The CSO is within the Stronger Communities cluster, where the Principal Department is the Department of Communities and Justice.
